Kenneth Wayne Couchman, 52 of Keokuk died Monday, August 18, 2014 at his home in Keokuk. He was born on July 1, 1962 in Ft. Madison, IA the son of Darrell and Linda Stroud Couchman. On June 25, 2004 he was united in marriage to Tabatha in Keokuk. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Kyle Burgess of Keokuk, four daughters, Mandy Saunders, Stephanie Couchman, Tiffanie Couchman and Brittanie Couchman all of Keokuk, twelve grandchildren, his mother and step-father, Linda Burgess and her husband Danny of Keokuk, four sisters, Terri Lorentzen, Carla Johnson, Brenda Burgess and Cassie Burgess, five brothers, David Burgess, Danny Burgess, Omer Vahle, Luke Vahle and David Vahle and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, step-mother, Sheila Couchman, grandmother, Mildred Burgess, one nephew, Nathan Cook and one son-in-law, Eric Saunders. Ken was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country. Ken enjoyed being on the computer and spending time with his children and grandchildren. A committal service with military rites was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk. Memorials may be made to the family.
