Katheryn "Kaye" Vollers, 93, of Eagan, MN, formerly of Keokuk, IA passed away on January 31, 2023 in Eagan, MN.

Kaye was born on September 21, 1929 to Hazel and John Grogan. She was the second of nine children. She was raised in Keokuk, Iowa and graduated from St. Peter High School. Following high school Kaye married Robert "Bob'" Vollers and moved to Iowa City, Iowa where he played basketball and completed his education at the University of Iowa. Together they lived in Iowa, California, Arizona, and finally settled in Minnesota.

Throughout her life Kaye worked in a variety of settings, finally retiring at age 80 as a Medical Transcriptionist. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, theater, travel, playing bridge, and painting.

Kaye had a gift for rhyme, composing many a poem or limerick to commemorate almost any occasion or event. Family was very important to Kaye and she took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She was thrilled to finally become a Great Grandmother at the age of 81.

Kaye leaves behind her daughters, Linda (Jim) Benson and Terry (Herb) Bergstrom, four grandchildren, Kate (Jim) McQuade, Mackenzie (Javier) Borau, Bob (Kayla) Benson, and Ryan (Laurel) Bergstrom, nine great grandchildren (with one more on the way), her sister Sue (Keith) Fink, four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, and seven siblings.

A celebration of life and Mass of Christian Burial was taken place at 11:30 a.m. on February11, 2023 at the Church of All Saints in Keokuk, followed by interment at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
