Juvernia R. Morris, 88 of Davenport, IA formerly of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Country Manor Residences in Davenport, IA. Juvernia was born October 29, 1923 in Rooks County, KS the daughter of Charles and Effie Brown Jones. She was first married to Glen Hurd in 1939 and they later divorced. On May 2, 1971 she was united in marriage to Bobbie Morris in Carthage, IL. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2005. She had been employed at Huiskamp Shoe Company in Keokuk, IA for twenty years and then at St. Louis Die in Keokuk for nineteen and a half years. Juvernia was a member of the Risen Christ Lutheran Church in Davenport, IA. Juvernia was an excellent seamstress and made all of her own clothing. She also enjoyed spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens. She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Hurd Gruenhagen and her husband Ronnie of Blue Grass, IA three grandchildren, Christina Fleming, Kerry Gruenhagen and Deanna Millage and six great grandchildren, Katelyn Fleming, Ronnie Fleming, Craig Gruenhagen, Micayla Millage, Isaiah Millage and Constance Millage. Juvernia was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Aldewon. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 30 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Lester Dumer officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka, MO. Memorials may be made to Risen Christ Lutheran Church Building Fund.
