Judith A. Rankin, 63, of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born October 11, 1946 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Herbert and Edith Riddle Cale. On June 18, 1983 she was united in marriage to Larry Rankin in Kahoka, Missouri. He survives. Other survivors include: two daughters, Lori Petty of Keokuk and Wendy Chancellor of Mt. Pleasant, IA, three granddaughters, Elisha Bigelow and her husband Brandon, Miranda Crank and her husband Robert, and Courtney Petty, two great granddaughters, Kaydence Crank and Serenity Crank, two step-sons, Larry Rankin, Jr., Douglas Rankin and his wife Cherrie all of Deland, Florida, two step-grandchildren, Kyle and Emily Rankin, three brothers, Wayne Cale and his wife Marcy of Lawton, Oklahoma, Steve Cale and his wife Connie of Keokuk, and Stan Cale of Keokuk, two sisters, Vickie Adams of Alabama, and Tina Kelly and her husband Bobbi of Jackson, Tennessee, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, a step-son Danny Rankin and her mother –in-law, Opal Lee. Judith graduated from Keokuk Senior High School with the Class of 1965. She had been employed at Henniges for thirty six years retiring in November of 2008. Judith enjoyed doing crafts especially her plastic canvas. She also enjoyed traveling and flower gardening. Memorial services was held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Bluff Springs Cemetery in rural Canton, MO. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
