Joyce Ann Ewing, 70, of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Fort Madison Health Center in Ft. Madison, IA. She was born on January 27, 1943 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Robert and Lois Shafer Conn. On November 23, 1992 Joyce was united in marriage to Howard Ewing in Keokuk, IA. He survives. Other survivors include three children, Chad Larson, Josh Larson and Lyndy Larson King, two brothers, Mike Conn and Bob Conn both of Nauvoo, IL and one step- brother, Mark Dean of Keokuk. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Dean, her father, Robert Conn and one son, Doug Glasgow. Joyce graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1961. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Keokuk and attended the Melrose United Methodist Church in rural Argyle, IA. She had been employed as the Activity Director at the Keokuk Convalescent Center for twenty years, retiring in 2001. There will be no services or visitation at this time.
