Joshua Aaron Dodds, 29, of Keokuk, IA, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. He was born on March 23, 1979 in Albuquerque, NM, the son of Edward and Leola "Lana" Yates Dodds. Joshua graduated from Vatterott College in Quincy, IL. He had been employed at Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation in Ft. Madison, IA. He was highly gifted in electronics and enjoyed installing stereo equipment for his family and friends. He also was very talented in art and poetry. Joshua was a very dedicated father and loved his children with all of his heart. He was a good friend to many and was always willing to help people any way he could. Joshua is survived by his two sons Aaron Joshua Dodds and Linkin Zander Christopher Dodds both of Keokuk, IA, his parents Edward and Lana Dodds of Keokuk, IA, four brothers Rory Dodds & his wife Debra of Dallas, TX, Jason Dodds of Keokuk, IA, Brandon Dodds of Keokuk, IA, and Travis Dodds of Missouri, his grandmother Christine Yates of Quincy, IL, his uncle & aunt Edgar & Cathryn "Kaye" Yates of Tolona, MO, and nieces and nephews, Rory Dodds Jr., April Dodds, Jacob Dodds, Jared Dodds, and Ashlynn Eliana Dodds. He was preceded in death by two brothers at birth, his grandfathers Edgar Yates and Edgar Dodds, his grandmother Maxine Dodds McGee and a niece, Autumn Irene Dodds. Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28 at the Scandinavian Cemetery in Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to the family.
