John Raymond Kay, Jr. 77 of Keokuk died Friday, March 17, 2017, at his home. He was born July 9, 1939, in Keokuk the son of John Raymond, Sr. and Katherine Kelly Kay. John graduated from Keokuk High School. He had been employed by Pinkerton Security in North Carolina until his retirement in 2015. John enjoyed collecting old model cars. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. He is survived by one son, David Kay (Tammie) of Keokuk, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Gerald Kay of Florida and Larry Kay of Oregon and one sister, Barbara Kay of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Rosalie Kay, one daughter, Barbara Whippy, one grandson, Thomas Hall, his parents and one sister, Betty St. Clair. There will be private family services.
