John Guy Johnson, 58, of Argyle, IA, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Texas.
He was born on December 16, 1955 in Keokuk, IA, the son of William and Helen Bowen Johnson. On March 6, 1985 he was united in marriage to Judy Reinhart in Ft. Madison, IA.
She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Christopher Johnson of Argyle, two daughters, Misty Bair and her husband Mark and Lisa Griffith and her husband Donald all of Bowling Green, MO, five grandchildren, Emily Traynor, Trenton, Darin and Kole Griffith and Wyatt Bair, his mother, Helen LaBonte of Warsaw, IL, his brother and best friend, Bill Johnson and his wife Shari of Keokuk and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
John attended truck driving school in Kansas City, MO and had been an over the road truck driver for twenty-eight years. Currently he was employed with Marten Transport, LTD.
He loved baseball and listened to games and sports shows on the radio while he was on the road. John was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and attended many of the games in St. Louis with his brother.
According to his wishes there will be no services or visitation.
