John "Jack" Alan Sturm, 64, of Ainsworth, Iowa died Friday, February 25, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born February 23, 1947, the son of Floyd and Hazel Moats Sturm in Spring Valley, Illinois. On November 11, 1966 he was united in marriage to Brenda Morrison in Kahoka, Missouri. He was a loving husband to Brenda for 44 years. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters; Teri Bunnell and her husband Andrew of Farmington, Iowa and Angie Lasek and her husband Dallus of Ainsworth, Iowa, thirteen grandchildren; Robert Sturm, Colten Sturm, Erica Sturm, Lakin Sturm, Jackilynn Bunnell, Andrew Bunnell, Jr, Michael Bunnell, Noah Bunnell, Cory Bunnell, Elijah Bunnell, Trenton Lasek, Trey Lasek, And Zackary Lasek, five great grandchildren, eleven brothers and sisters; Janet Lively, Floyd "Skeet" Sturm and his wife Kay, Jane Porter, Joyce Gates and her husband Nelson, Larry Sturm, June Roberts, Terry Sturm, Jeanne Rule, Bob Sturm and his wife Cindy, Alan Sturm, and Rick Sturm and his wife Tina, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Tony and Eric Sturm, grandson Trevor Lasek, and a brother Bill Sturm. Jack worked At Keokuk Diecast as a set up operator for eleven years and at Sheller Globe for six years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending flea markets, mushroom hunting, and loved spending time with his many grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Reverend Larry Wallingford officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.
