John A. Irvin, Jr, 54, of Kahoka, Missouri died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri. He was born July 23, 1956 the son of John and Vera Mae Hortor Irvin in Keokuk, Iowa. On June 7, 1975 he married Pam Egley at the Bluff Springs Church in Canton, Missouri. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Terri Irvin of Inverness, FL, two sons, John M. Irvin of Kahoka, MO and John A. Irvin, III and his wife Gayland of Wayland, MO, five grandchildren, Kathy Reinig of Warsaw, IL, Alexis Collins of Trenton, Mo, Blayne Irvin of Wayland, MO, Elizabeth Irvin of Wayland, MO, and Elina Cain of Quincy, IL, his father John Irvin, Sr of Kahoka, MO, two brothers, Bill Irvin of Kahoka and Delbert Irvin and his wife Faith of Kahoka, MO along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and a brother, Gary Allen Irvin. John graduated from Clark County High School with the Class of 1974. He was employed by Willcoxson Transport as a truck driver for thirteen years. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and his trout fishing trips with his buddies. He was a treasured friend to many. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and he loved to spend time with them. Funeral services were held held 1 p.m., Wednesday March 2nd 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Reverend Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial was in the Chambersburg Cemetery in Chambersburg, MO.
