John Jeffrey Coop 64, passed away at his home in Casa Grande, AZ, on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, after a valiant, four-year battle with cancer.

John was born on August 10, 1961, in Libertyville, Illinois, to Dolly Sue (Sammons, Coop) White and Joseph A. Coop.

He moved with his mom, dad Harold E. White, and his brothers to Keokuk, Iowa, in 1971. He and his wife relocated to Casa Grande, Arizona in 2003. Married on Valentine’s Day, 1981, he shared almost 45 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Diana (Cecil) Coop. Together they were the incredibly proud parents of Jami Dawn (Coop) Bliss and later joyfully welcomed son-in-law Daniel Bliss into the family. John’s greatest happiness was being Grandpa to Emily Diana Bliss and Evan Jeffrey Bliss; they were the joy of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Diana; daughter, Jami; son-in-law, Dan; grandchildren, Emily and Evan; brothers, Timothy (Kathy) Coop, Mark (Carmen) White; stepmother, Laurie Coop; half-brothers Brad Coop, and Jason Coop; brother-in-law, Marty Cecil; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolly Sue (Sammons) White; dad, Harold E. White; brother, Stephen Michael Coop; father, Joseph A. Coop; grandparents, John W. and Jeanette L. Sammons; and his long-time cat companion, Buddy.

At his request, no services will be held. A private inurnment will occur later in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa.
