Joseph "Joe" Michl, 46, of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at his home. He was born on December 18, 1963 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Sylvester Stephen "Mike" and Betty Michl. He graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in Keokuk, IA. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk. He had been employed as an electrician. Joe enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, barbequing and NASCAR. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends. He is survived by three brothers, John Michl of Keokuk, Vincent Michl of Council Bluffs, IA and Stephen Michl of Lorton,VA and four sisters, Beth Ann Schaefer of Kirksville, MO, Linda Greenstreet of Monmouth, IL, Michele Michl of Kahoka, MO and Mary Pat Michl of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Theresa Michl Ringstrom and two nephews, Brian Ragar and Joseph Michl. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Great River Hospice of Burlington, IA. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Great River Hospice, especially Sandi Newberry, for their invaluable care.
