Jo Ann Davison, 68, of Keokuk, IA, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. She was born on May 1, 1945 in Keokuk, the daughter of Josephine "Jody" Davison. She was adopted and raised by her uncle, Thomas Davison. Jo Ann graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1963. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Keokuk. She had been employed at Shaffer Pen in Ft. Madison for several years. She then worked as an Airline Stewardess for thirteen years. When she moved back to Keokuk, she was employed at Methode in Carthage, IL. Jo Ann had a Corvette that she really enjoyed driving and often took it to area car shows where she won several awards. She enjoyed getting together with her friends at their high school class reunion lunches. She was proud of her Indian Heritage and collected any items related to Indians. Jo Ann loved all kinds of animals but none had a greater place in her heart than her lovable and loyal Chihuahua dogs. She is survived by her mother, Josephine "Jody" Wharton of Keokuk, several special friends and her namesakes, Penny Jo Rockhold and Amanda Jo Williams. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 22nd, 2013 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend David Turner officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the American Humane Society.
