Jim LeMaster, 67, of Keokuk, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was born July 30, 1959, in Keokuk, the son of Harold Franklin and Roseann Dennison LeMaster.
Jim graduated from Clark County R-1 High School with the class of 1977. He was employed at Henniges for forty-four years before retiring in 2021.
He looked forward to his mornings at Hy-Vee, where he could sit down with coffee, visit with friends and catch up on what was going on. Jim had a lifelong appreciation for cars, especially hot rods, antique cars and Model A’s. He enjoyed attending car shows, admiring the cars and visiting with others who shared his passion. He also liked collecting antiques and appreciated finding unique pieces and learning about their history. Jim loved riding motorcycles and the freedom of being out on the road. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors, as well as traveling and visiting new places. His many interests gave him plenty to look forward to and provided opportunities to make memories along the way. Most of all, Jim treasured the time he spent with his family and the memories they made together.
On May 11, 2002, he was united in marriage to Kerry Huff Jenkins in Keokuk.
Jim is survived by his wife, Kerry LeMaster; his son, Logan LeMaster (Portia); his daughter, A.J. LeMaster; his stepson, Marc Jenkins (Bobbie); and his seven grandchildren, Jewel, Wyatt, Alexis, Zephyr, Stori, Gavin and Ebin. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Pat Elder of St. Francisville, Ken (Janice) LeMaster of Revere, Missouri, Janis Davis of Burlington, Iowa, and Kathy LeMaster of Wayland, Missouri; along with many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dana LeMaster; his aunts and uncles, Jim Dennison and his wife, Shirley, Jim Elder, Gary LeMaster, William LeMaster, Donald LaMaster and his wife, Margerite, Tom LeMaster, Barbara Holtkamp, Leona Rampley and her husband, Gene, Velma Dickwisch and her husband, Jack, and Mary Toops and her husband, George “Bud” Toops; and a cousin, Angela Elder.
A gathering of remembrance will be held from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, with the family meeting with friends during that time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Francisville Community Center.
