Jerry F. Tubbs, 62 of Keokuk, IA formerly of Elgin, IL and Clinton, IA died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home. Jerry was born March 4, 1950 in Elgin, IL the son of Morley and Leona Schuett Tubbs. On September 18, 1971 he was united in marriage to Kathryn M. Graham in Ottawa, IL. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Aaron B. Tubbs and his wife Chelsea of Canton, OH and Isaac V. Tubbs and his wife Jessica of Washington, D.C., four grandchildren, Amanda Tubbs, Aaron Tubbs, Derek Tubbs and Jameson Tubbs, and two brothers, Ron Tubbs and his wife Laurie of Elgin, IL and Bill Tubbs and his wife Paula of Elgin, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Jarrett Peter Tubbs and one brother in infancy. Jerry graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL with a Master's Degree in engineering. He was a member of Sigma Pi Delta. Jerry had been employed at Roquette America, Inc. in Keokuk, IA since 1995. Jerry faithfully attended Evangelical Free Church in Keokuk and was actively involved in the Saturday morning men's group and the Wednesday night Top Gun study group. Jerry was an ordained minister and had a passion to see men come to know the Lord. He faithfully read his Bible and the scriptures were not only a source of strength and comfort but God's wisdom that he could share with others. He had served as a board member on the A.P.E.P.T. International Board of Directors. Jerry was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Evangelical Free Church in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Jason Peterson, Pastor Jim Sears and Pastor Larry Low officiating. Burial was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Dundee Township Cemetery in Dundee, IL. Memorials may be made to the Jerry Tubbs Memorial Fund and will be used for ministries that were close to Jerry's heart.
