Jerry "JFK" Kinkeade, 42, of Wayland, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the UnityPoint Health – Keokuk, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born May 22, 1976 in Keokuk, the son of Larry E. and Martha Delores Bunker Kinkeade.
He graduated from Clark County R-1 High School with the Class of 1994.
Jerry was employed with Steve Dean Midwest Rockers as a drywaller. He also did many drywalling jobs on the side. He was Donnie's right hand man at Ferguson Plumbing.
He was an ornery, fun-loving guy with a contagious smile and infectious laugh. He lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He loved spending time with his family especially his great niece, Brynlee, who was the apple of his eye. He was anxiously awaiting for the arrival of the newest member of the family who is due in the next few weeks.
Jerry was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed watching and participating in the area demolition derbies. Jerry always enjoyed taking chances on scratch off tickets and was always lucky from the stories he would share.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Delores Kinkeade of Wayland, a sister, Teresa (Donnie) Ferguson of Wayland, four step sisters, Tina Schulze of St. Charles, Traci Mathias of New Jersey, Stacy Lang of Lewistown and Missy (Tommy) Bowen of Labelle, seven nieces and nephews, Albert (A.J.) Schulze, Colin Mathias, Megan Hanie, Savanah Ewalt, Blain Bowen, Halie Ferguson and Toni Rae Inman, three great nieces and nephew, Brynlee, Allena, Aria and Jaxyn, two uncles, Carl (Shirley) Bunker and Ivan (Lois) Bunker, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry E. Kinkeade, step father, Albert Earl Ewalt, two brothers, Larry Kinkeade and Tony Inman, grandparents, Jake and Martha Bunker, Lawrence and Wanda Kinkeade and Orville and Mary Howell and three uncles, Jerry Kinkeade, Clifford Kinkeade, and Jim Bunker.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 12 at the First Baptist Church in Wayland with Pastor Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial was in the Sand Cemetery in St. Francisville.
Visitation was held at 9 a.m. Monday with the family meeting with friends from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka.
