Wednesday, October 20, 2021, Jerry Dean Brown went home to be with his parents, and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jerry was born October 11, 1961 in Carthage, IL the son of Robert O. and Patricia F. Brown.
Jerry was a bus driver for many years and later became a semi truck driver. Jerry traveled with the carnival, working the game booths and the food trailers. Working in his food trailer was always his favorite thing, and he dreamed of getting it going again. He enjoyed many things from shopping with his wife to playing with his grandbabies, whether it be hot wheels, bob cat rides or even letting the girls paint his toes. Jerry never met a stranger and he was adored by so many people.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Hoyt- Brown of Dallas City, IL, father-in-law, Mark Hoyt of Keokuk, IA, two brothers, Gary (Christina) Boothe of Licking, MO, and James "Jimmy" (Ursla) Brown of Cullman, AL, two sons, Christopher Brown of Dallas City, IL and Robert (Samantha) Brown of Fort Madison, IA, two daughters, Amber Scheeler of Dallas City, IL and Patricia (Doug) Kitch of Dallas City, IL and eleven grandchildren, Jesse, David, Ashton, Harley, Alli, Jase, Marybeth, Zebco, Joseph, Waylon, and Lincoln along with several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Patricia Brown, mother-in-law, Linda Hoyt, his grandparents, Ralph and Eula Brown, two sisters, one in infancy and Lori Smith, and his biological mother, Ella Bernice Cowell Boothe.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Harris Cemetery in Dallas City, IL.
