Jennifer Renee Ludwig

Jennifer Renee Leeper Ludwig, 50, of Keokuk, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

She was born July 11, 1975, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Kent and Dixie Hawkins Leeper.

In 2002 she was united in marriage to Jeff Ludwig. They later divorced.

She was a member of St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Wayland.

Jennifer enjoyed listening to music and making crafts. She had a special love for cats and enjoyed the companionship. She also loved trying new recipes, cooking, and preparing special culinary meals.

She is survived by her siblings, Greg (Vickie) Leeper of Keokuk, Iowa, Randy (Ariel) Leeper of Wayland, Missouri, Andrea (Zach) Travis of Quincy, Illinois, and Grady (Kelsey) Small of Alexandria; Sherry (Ken) Slominski of Colorado Springs, CO., Tammy (David Markell) McCarty of Wayland, MO., along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dixie and Dale Small and Kent and Cindy Leeper.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11 at the Frazee Cemetery. 

Memorials may be made to the family in care of Andrea Travis.

The Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk is assisting the family with arrangements.
