Jeffrey L. Nye, 43, of Monroe City, MO, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Monday, August 25, 2014 t the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO. He was born on September 26, 1970 in Joliet, IL the son of James David and Lola Bell Howell Nye. Jeffrey enjoyed bowling and visiting the St. Louis Zoo. He especially loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his mother, Lola Nye of Kahoka, MO, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, James Nye and Ronald Nye and his sister, Betty Vannatta. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Keokuk National Cemetery with Pastor Jim Campbell officiating.
