Jason Louis Russell, 25, of Janesville, WI, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 in Janesville. He was born on January 28, 1980 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Art Russell and Robin Howell. He had been employed at the Janesville Mall in Janesville, WI. Prior to moving to Janesville, he was employed at Decker Manufacturing in Keokuk, IA. Jason loved to draw and was an excellent artist. He liked music and playing his guitar. He was a very good basketball player, having played in High School, and continued to enjoy playing the game. He is survived by his father, Arthur Russell, his mother Robin Kitzman and her husband Rick, all of Keokuk, IA, one brother, Michael Russell and his wife Candace of Hamilton, IL, one sister, Tiffany Russell of Keokuk, IA, his grandparents, Carolyn & Kenny Howell of Keokuk, IA, and Mary Groves of Basco, IL, two step-brothers, Jack & Juston Kitzman of Mt. Pleasant, IA, one step-sister, Jessica Kitzman of Germany, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Woody Groves. A Time of Remembrance was held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends at that time. Burial was in the Oakland Vincennes cemetery in Vincennes, IA. There was no formal service. A memorial has been established in his memory.
