Obituary

Jane Nadene Butler-Porter, 46, of Alexandria, MO, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on August 30, 1963 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Barton O. Butler and Barbara L. Dunn Butler. On July 4, 2003 she was united in marriage to Douglas Porter in Memphis, MO. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Zachary Carroll and his wife Nichole of Indianola, IA Casey Carroll and friend Erica Hall of Kahoka, MO and Christopher Dillavou of Kahoka, MO, one grandson, Gavin A. Carroll of Indianola, IA, two granddaughters, Madelyn L. Carroll of Indianola, IA and Bryleigh F. Carroll of Kahoka, MO five sisters, Brenda Bemis of Des Moines, IA, Jennifer Blum and her husband Van of Kahoka, MO, Bonnie Dieterich and her husband Gerald of Kahoka,MO, Kathy Wollam-Myers and her husband Dick of Kahoka, MO and Terry Gesel of Manchester, NH and one brother, Barton R. Butler of Peoria, IL, maternal grandmother, Ethel Mae Dunn, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents. She and her sister, Jennifer owned and operated Country Time Flowers & Antiques, LLC. She also was a LPN and was most recently employed at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. Jane enjoyed antiquing with her husband. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and most of all she was a loving grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO. Burial was in the Frazee Cemetery in rural Alexandria, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
