Jamie Carol Shannon, 58 of Williamstown, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born September 15, 1966 in the daughter of James Carl Beel, I, and Jean Carolynn Black-Summers.

On June 6, 1992 she was united in marriage to Todd Shannon in Peaksville, MO. He survives.

She is also survived by her four sons, Jesse Sturm, Casey Sturm, Alan Sturm and Blake Shannon, twelve grandchildren, Kash Sturm, Jesse James Sturm, Jr., Forrest Sturm, Ashton Pruett, Landon Sturm, Philip Sturm, Adalyn Capper, Trenton Sturm, Autum Sturm, Kimberly Shannon, Zoey Shannon, and Destiney Shannon, two sisters: Jennifer Carlese Frost and Robbie Lynette Beel, and her brother, Stevie Joe Beel.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Lovie Shannon, brothers and sisters-in-law: Randy "Ras" Shannon, Danny "Boone" Shannon, Tammy Shannon, Matt (Denise) Shannon, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents; Ruby Viola House, Silas Black, and Francis Black and her brother, James Carl Beel, II and her father-in-law, Arlie Shannon.

Jamie had a special connection to nature, especially wildlife, and her Cherokee heritage was a source of pride. She found joy in watching hummingbirds, caring for horses, turkeys, and rabbits, and working with dogs, which she loved dearly. An exceptional homemaker, Jamie filled her home with love and care. She had a passion for flowers, found peace in the outdoors, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of playing games on her phone.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Pastor Daniel Fox officiating.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vigen Memorial Home for final expenses.
