James "Jim" Morgan, Jr. 52, of Memphis, MO, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO. He was born August 7, 1957 in Keokuk, IA the first born son of James and Dolores Fischer Morgan. Jim was an avid reader, history buff, a capable mechanic and handyman. Jim always had great stories to tell. He was a well-loved man and will be greatly missed. He is survived by two daughters, Angela Courtney and her husband Kris of Kahoka, MO , Ashlynn Sumpter of Moberly, MO, one son, James D. Morgan of Mt. Pleasant, IA, three grandchildren, Corey, Zachary and Emily McCutcheon of Kahoka, MO, three sisters, Janice Sedore and her husband Dewey of Moberly, MO, Cathryn Aldridge of Memphis, MO, Caroline McClamroch of Memphis, MO, one brother, John Morgan and his wife Deb of Fulton, MO, nieces and nephews Lori, Scott and his wife Amy and Nathan and his wife Pam Sedore, James and his wife Stephanie and Dee Aldridge, Tabitha Holt, Derrick and Trish Morton, and Dakota McClamroch, Cody and Zac Morgan, great nieces and nephews, Brawlee, Granger, Breanna, Bryce, Paige, Nathan, and Nolan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 17 at 1 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Dan Hite officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
