James Neill "Jim" Teeters, 68 of Dumas, MO died Tuesday, June 10 in Dumas, MO. He was born February 9, 1946 in Keokuk the son of George and Ann McPherson Teeters. Jim graduated from Keokuk Senior High with the Class of 1964. He had been employed by the Army Corp of Engineers at the Lock & Dam #19 in Keokuk for thirty years. Jim was a member of the NRA and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and riding four wheelers. He adored his dogs and was a loving father to his daughters. He is survived by two daughters, Leslie Teeters of Keokuk and Kirsty Teeters of Burlington, IA, three grandchildren, Quinton Banes, Marcus Banes and Ryan Banes all of Keokuk and one great-grandchild, Madison Banes of Keokuk and one brother, Tom Teeters of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terry Teeters, and one daughter, Lori Ann Teeters. A Celebration of Life Service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 14th 2014 at his home in Dumas, MO. According to his wishes he was cremated and there will not be any formal services.
