James F. Kirchner, 74, of Frederickstown, MO, formerly of Kahoka, MO died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Madison Medical Center in Frederickstown, MO. He was born June 18, 1933 in Clark County, MO the son of Fred and Leotia Robertson Kirchner. On December 10, 1956 he was united in marriage to Ruth Marie Norris. They later divorced. He lived most of his life in Iowa and Alaska. He enjoyed talking with friends, gold mining, traveling and attending the Bluegrass Festival and the Mule Festival. Jim is survived by a daughter, Kristine Ruth Kirchner of Houston, TX, two sons, James F. Kirchner and his wife Sandy of Frederickstown, MO, Frederick Kirchner and his wife Karol of Chino Valley, AZ, three grandchildren, Richard Magoon III of Alburnett, IA, Elizabeth Brietcher of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Nicole Magoon of Shellsberg, IA, six great grandchildren and a step grandson Michael Austin of AZ, and a sister Dorothy Irene Kirchner of Cedar Rapids, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Madison Medical Activity Center.
