Jack Lee Scott, 79 of Keokuk died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
He was born November 8, 1937 in Covington, KY the son of Garnett Kirkpatrick and Leslie Willard Scott.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy. He served his country for over nineteen years, retiring in 1974 with the rank of Communications Officer
He was a member of the VFW Post 3508 and the American Legion Post #41 both in Keokuk.
Jack an avid football fan. He enjoyed going to casinos, spending time with his friends at Harrington's Bar and Grill and attending his granddaughter's recitals.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Yolanda Wilson (Paul Skinner) of Keokuk, two granddaughters, Stephanie Wilson (Cole Woodley) and Alyanna Thompson, one great-grandson, Quentin Woodley, three sisters, Mary Lou Scott Perkins (Johnny) of Las Vegas, NV, Lucinda Scott White (Donald) of MI and Lucy Scott Devries (Robert) of Ramona, CA, two brothers, C.E. Scott (Irma) of Plano, TX and David Scott (Lynn) of Huntington, CA and his beloved dog, Missy.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life and lifelong partner, Eugenia Hanson on February 3, 2016, his parents and two brothers, Leslie Scott and James Scott.
A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.
