Ilene Haisch Walker, 91 of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. She was born on April 9, 1919 in Clark County, MO the daughter of Jasper Eli and Mattie Owens Milligan. She first married Harold Haisch, Sr. on May 11, 1941 in Kahoka, MO. To this union were born five children. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1971. She later married James Fredrick Walker on July 28, 1972 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1993. Ilene had been employed at the Graham Hospital in Keokuk for 22 years before her retirement in 1981. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time on the farm where she helped dress chickens. Ilene had served as a member of the Little Mound Cemetery Board. She is survived by two sons, Harold Haisch and his wife Janice of Wayland, MO, John Haisch and his wife Sharon of Alexandria, MO, two daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson and her husband Don of Keokuk, IA and Linda Storms of West Point, IA. nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Mosley of Keokuk, IA. Ilene was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Haisch on November 26, 1948, son-in-law, Jack Storms, four brothers, Edlo Milligan, Charles Milligan, J.O. Milligan and William Vermillion, two sisters Elnora Seyb and Clarice Bender Seyb Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March, 25, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
