Holly Sue Schrepfer, 67, of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the Carthage Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL.

She was born on January 4, 1956 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Glen J. and Jean (Land) Washburn.

On June 23, 1973 Holly was united in marriage to Donald Schrepfer. He survives.

Holly is also survived by one son, Mathew Schrepfer (Misty) of Keokuk, three daughters, Amy Schrepfer (Alan) of Minonk, IL, Selena Schrepfer (Matt) of Keokuk and Kali Robbins (Kevan) of Keokuk, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother, Tim Washburn of San Francisco, CA and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Glenda Quinn-Dallas.

Holly had worked as an EMT for Hancock County, IL for several years. She then worked at Regis Hair Salon and later owned and operated Holly's Hair Care.

She loved riding horses, listening to music and rescuing baby animals. Holly was a talented writer. She had written three books and had one of them published. Most of all, Holly loved her family and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

A Gathering of Remembrance was held from 5 – 7 p.m. on July 24, 2023, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with family meeting with friends at that time.
