Henry J Kay

Henry J. "Junie" Kay, 75 of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at this home. He was born June 5, 1936 in Keokuk, IA the son of Henry William and Flora Young Kay. Henry had been employed at Electro Metals (Foote Mineral, Fero-Sil) for forty years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the National Arbor Day Foundation. He received ten trees every year and planted them or gave them away to others. Henry had a lucky streak and faithfully bought lottery tickets and often had a winning one. He loved to work on and repair lawnmowers. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Jones of Woodriver, IL, one step-daughter, Jami Spring of Keokuk, IA, two brothers, Bob Kay and Jack Kay of Keokuk, IA, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Danny Kay, one daughter, Wanda Kay, three brothers, Chester, Lawrence and Bill and one sister, Marie Hall. There will be no services.
