Henry Lynn Beghtol, 81 of Galesburg, IL passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Allure Knox County in Galesburg, IL.

He was born on October 28, 1943 in Macomb, IL the son of Leroy and Winnie Howell Beghtol. Henry graduated from Macomb High School in Macomb, IL.

Henry was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country.

He had been employed by various companies through the years as an over the road truck driver and a mechanic.

He was a member of the American Legion and was of the Baptist faith.

Henry was a jack of all trades and had the ability to master all types of projects. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks, shooting pool and painting pictures on rocks and statues. He loved going to flea markets and searching for treasures.

He is survived by one son, Brian Beghtol of Macomb, IL, one daughter, Sheila Beghtol of Arizona and one grandson, Tim Beghtol. He is also survived by one sister, Rita Jo Whitaker of Ft. Madison, IA, one nephew, Mike Whitaker and two nieces, Marie Woodson of Bettendorf, IA and Wendy Whitaker of Ft. Madison, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Darren Beghtol and one daughter, Gina Beghtol.

A graveside service with military rites was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.
