Helen MarScine Patton, 79, of Keokuk, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. She was born on December 28, 1934 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Joseph and Zella Tucker Hayden. Helen graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1952. She received training at the Institute of Medical & Dental Technology in Phoenix, AZ and worked as a Dental Assistant for fifteen years. She had also been employed at Hy-Vee Bakery for two years. She was a member of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, MO. Helen enjoyed oil painting and her many beautiful paintings will be cherished by her family. She also enjoyed reading. She was a good friend to many and loved to spend time visiting with her friends. Her grandson was her pride and joy and she cherished the time she was able to spend with him. She is survived by one daughter, Beth Gibson of Hamilton, IL, one grandson, Eric Morgan of Kahoka, MO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, David Gibson and two sisters, Marjorie Johnson and Joann Humphrey. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. WednesdayFebruary 6, 2013 at the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk with Pastor Bob Spilger officiating. T here was no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Alexandria Presbyterian Church.
