Helen Six Lightner, 95 of Keokuk, IA formerly of Hamilton, IL died Thursday, May 08, 2008 at the River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born September 18, 1912 in Winchester, IL the daughter of Henry C. and Fannie L. Crawford Six. Helen resided in California for many years where she was employed as a costume mistress at Paramount Studios until she retired. Following her retirement she moved to Hamilton, IL in 1988 to be closer to family. In 2002 Helen moved to River Hills Village in Keokuk. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Torrance, CA, the Eastern Star and the Delta Theta Chi Sorority. She is survived by a niece, Claudia (Six) Haldiman and her husband Rudy of Springfield, MO, a cousin, Mike Thomas of California, friends and caregivers, Joe and Kathy Kamps of Warsaw, IL. There will be no local visitation or services. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Friday., May 16 at the Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA with Reverend Ray Lambert officiating. Memorials may be made to River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA.
