Helen Dobbins, 91, of Kahoka, Missouri formerly of St. Patrick, MO died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Clark County Nursing Home. She was born April 14, 1920 in Luray, Missouri the daughter of Matthew and Cora Helen Lee Toops. She married Charles Taylor in 1937. She later married Emmit Jr. Dobbins on March 4, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1996. She was a member of the Wayland Baptist Church in Wayland, Missouri. Helen enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and crafting. The most important thing to her was her family and she was a devoted mother and homemaker. Helen cherished the times she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughter Onnilese Dobbins of Glenwood, IA and Dolly K. Beaird of Rock Island, IL, one son, Robert Taylor and his wife Zola of Port St. Joe, FL, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren and three great great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jack Taylor, one son-in-law, Gary Beaird, two grandchildren and two brothers. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Luray, MO.
