View Video Tribute Hazel Bernice Skow, 86, of Argyle, IA, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on October 27, 1921 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Robert A. and Anna Hester Mason. On July 10, 1939 Hazel was united in marriage to Richard Skow in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1988. She was a member of the Bethel Bible Church in Argyle, IA and the early morning Breakfast Club at McDonald in Keokuk. She loved to make crafts, paint and do embroidery. As a young adult, she and her husband liked to go dancing in Charleston, IA. She loved her family very much and she treasured the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by five sons, John Skow and his wife Judy, Herman Skow, Gerald Skow and his wife Louise all of Argyle, IA, and Paul Skow of Bryan, TX and Richard Skow and his wife Vicky of Chatsworth, IL, three daughters, Gerry Edmonds and her husband James of Keokuk, Helen Kemper and her husband Gerald of Montrose, IA, and Norma Curtis and her companion Cliff Wollum of Kahoka, MO, twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, eight step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by twelve brothers, two sisters and three granddaughters. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Richard Skow and Pastor Clegguart Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, IA.
