Hazel Gladys Martin, 85, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on October 6, 1925 in Vincennes, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse M. and Grace V. Noonan Petty. Hazel had been employed at St. Louis Die Casting in Keokuk, IA for several years. She enjoyed quilting and knitting and loved to read. Hazel is survived by one son, Larry Reichman and his wife Paulette of Keokuk, IA, two daughters, Linda Viggiano and her husband Dick of Wyckoff, NJ and Sherry Washburne and her husband David of Keokuk, IA, one daughter-in-law, Nancy Reichman of Candler, NC, seven grandchildren, Adam Washburne, Jeff Reichman, Doug Reichman, Sara Viggiano, James Viggiano, Heather Reichman and Patrisha Reichman, seven great-grandchildren, Lauren Reichman, Maddie Reichman, Haley Reichman, Tyler Reichman, McKenzie Reichman, Kolby Reichman and Celeste Reichman, one brother, Chuck Petty and his wife Mary of Keokuk, IA. She was preceded in death by one son Jeffrey Reichman, three brothers, Harold Petty, Glen Petty and Fay Petty, two sisters, Erma Harness and June Johnson. Graveside services were held at 11a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Sandusky Cemetery in Sandusky, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Memorials may be made to the Keokuk Humane Society.
