Harry Clifford Finch, Jr., 49, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. He was born on October 17, 1958 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Harry Clifford and Esther Gray Finch. On May 17, 1980, Harry was united in marriage to Josephine Kathrine Gooley in Keokuk, IA. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Michael Finch and his wife Merci, Scott Finch and his wife Angelica, Kevin Finch and his wife Sabrina, and David Finch and his wife Tiffany, one daughter Amanda Calhoun and her husband David, all of Keokuk, IA, sixteen grandchildren, his mother Esther Gray and stepfather, Victor Gray of Keokuk, two brothers Steve Mason and John Finch both of Keokuk, one sister, Brenda Hines of Keokuk, two step-brothers and one step-sister. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother Kenneth Wayne Finch and one sister Jacqueline Sue Hines. He had worked at Morris Rubber in Keokuk for seven years and then worked for the City of Keokuk from 1991 – 2007. Harry was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed working on vehicles and fixing things. A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends was held Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA.
