Harley Joseph "Joe" Jones, 51, of Argyle, IA, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at his home. He was born on May 13, 1956 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Harley C. and Ruby Thompson Jones. He had been employed with Tri-State Motors for several years. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, going to yard sales and playing cards. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by one daughter, Ashley Stehl of Keokuk, IA, one son, Joseph Darrin Jones of Keokuk, his father Harley C. Jones and his wife Mary of Columbus Junction, IA, his mother, Ruby P. Hallinan and her husband Leo of Keokuk, IA, three sisters, Kathy A. Knox and her husband Bob of Keokuk, IA, Pamela S. Barber and her husband Richard of Warsaw, IL and Cindy L. Jones and her husband Bruce Harris of Keokuk, IA, one half-brother, Ron Jones and his wife Marilyn of Dubuque, IA, three grandchildren, Mercedes Stehl, Brayden Stehl and Tanner Sturm, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother James (Ike) Jones. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. A memorial has been established.
