Obituary

Greg Arnold Blair, 53 of Keokuk died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He was born April 20, 1961 in Kansas City, MO the son of Jack and Anna Marie Ripperger Blair. Greg attended the Culinary Program at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA. He had been employed as a Sous Chef at the Olive Garden and a steakhouse in Kansas City, MO. Greg was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk and also a member of Catholic Church in Chariton, IA. Greg enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and cooking his familys favorite Italian meals for everyone to enjoy. He was very proud of his dog, Sarge, a St. Bernard and Pyrenees mix that Greg rescued. He also liked to go to the river and feed the geese. Greg is survived by his loving companion and soul mate, Holly Claire Rhea of Keokuk, one daughter, Alex Andrea Paris (Zach Alger) of Keokuk, and two sons, Beau Edward Paris of Keokuk and McKenzie John Paris of Keokuk, two grandchildren, Easton Matthew Alger and Lane Oliver Alger both of Keokuk, his mother, Anna Marie Blair of Indianola, IA, two brothers, Christopher Blair of Midlothian, TX and Mark Blair of WA and four nephews, Saejin Blair, Jonah Blair, Noah Blair and Jedidiah Blair. He was preceded in death by his father. There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
