Grace L. Smith, 80, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, May 4, 2007 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1926 in Lee County, IA, the daughter of Ralph Edgar and Ethel Louise Peterson Sims. On May 30, 1945, Grace was united in marriage to Milo P. Smith in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1998. She is survived by one son, Grant Smith of Hartford, CT, one daughter, Lyn Ett Hernandez and her husband John of Des Moines, IA, two grandchildren, Darius Hernandez of Des Moines, IA and Eli Hernandez of Omaha, NE, and one sister, Mary Jane Juel and her husband John of Marshall, MN. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Darrell L. Smith on June 19, 1995 and one sister, Betty Boehm. According to her wishes, her body has been cremated and there will be no services.
