View Video Tribute Grace W. Schevers, 88, of Keokuk, IA, died July 3, 2009 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born November 12, 1920 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Forest Earl and Emma Frances Buell Moore. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Schevers on April 14, 1941 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1998. Grace was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. She had been employed at JcPennys, Youngrens Shoes and the Keokuk High School Cafeteria. She is survived by her four children, Larry Schevers and his wife Joyce of Keokuk, IA, Linda Betts and her husband Art of Keokuk, IA, Timothy Schevers and his wife Gloria of Austin, TX and Becky Schevers of Austin, TX, thirteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, one great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers, one grandson, and one great great granddaughter. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
