Gloria Jean Beall, 81 of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born December 5, 1941 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Joseph and Gloria Leake Rorabaugh. Gloria graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1960 and later from the Burlington Beauty Academy.

On July 6, 1972 Gloria was united in marriage to Gary Lee Beall in Kahoka. MO. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2013.

Gloria had been employed by Harold's Hairstyling in Keokuk for fifteen years. She then worked as the church secretary at Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk for thirteen years, until her retirement in 2007.

Gloria was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She enjoyed reading books, traveling and taking bus trips. She also enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos with her friends.

Most of all, Gloria loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two step-sons, Gary Beall (Jacquie) of Mt. Sterling, IA and Ray Beall (Ina) of Jacksonville, FL, two step-daughters, Terri Visser (Dr. Randy) of Redmond, OR and Barbara Bryant (Ron) of Keokuk, ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several cousins and special friends.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on May 11, 2023, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Dave Barrett officiating. Burial was held in the Sandusky Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on from 10 to 11 a.m. with the family meeting with the family at that time.

Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk or to the donor's choice.
