Glen George Overhulser, 80, of Keokuk, IA, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Montrose Health Center in Montrose, IA. He was born on October 24, 1932 in Keokuk the son of Clarence and Mabel Vandruff Overhulser. Glen was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He had lived in Keokuk for the past six years. Prior to living in Keokuk he resided in Burlington, IA. He was self employed and worked in landscaping and pool maintenance. Glen enjoyed a good game of cards and always played to win. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved to watch the Cubbies play. He is survived by two sons, Michael Overhulser of North Carolina and Glen G. Overhulser of Quincy, IL, two daughters, Diane Overhulser of North Carolina and Becky Maddox of Bloomington, MN, two sisters, Glora Robertson of Hiawatha, IA and Doris Beaty Luegering of Keokuk, IA, and his faithful, dear friend, Dorothy Young of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Wayne, Clarence, Forrest, Harris, Orval and Ray Overhulser, and one sister in infancy, Vivian Overhulser. According to his wishes he wanted to be cremated and chose not to have a service or visitation. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Lee county Hospice.
