Gladys Moore

Gladys Moore, 94 of Kahoka died Saturday, October 30, 2021 at her home. She was born October 24, 1927 the daughter of Albert and Katie Johns. Gladys graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1946. On July 4, 1991 she was united in marriage to Charles Dean Moore in Kahoka. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2016. She attended First Baptist Church in Kahoka and enjoyed the fellowship from the church. Gladys enjoyed watching westerns and baseball on TV especially the St. Louis Cardinals. She loved visiting with people and going on car rides. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of friends including Kevin and Tressa Todd, Alexis, Jake and Joslin Washburne, Katie, MacKenzie and Mayson Kay, Kodey Todd, Shawn and Jenny Webster and Blair and Grady Webster. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Matt Gutting officiating. Burial will be in the Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Vigen Memorial Home for final expenses.
