Obituary

Gladys Littrell, 94, of Keokuk died Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. She was born July 29, 1920 in Mexico, MO, the daughter of Eugene and Gertrude Finnigan Miller. On November 10, 1942 she was united in marriage to Arthur "Cleve" Littrell in Lexington, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1989. Gladys was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Keokuk. She enjoyed doing needlework and making calendars for her family members. She enjoyed keeping up on current events and watching Nascar races. Gladys is survived by a daughter, Louise Skow of Montrose, a son Gene Littrell and his wife Susan of Woodbury MN, one grandson, Darren Skow and his wife Missy of Argyle, IA and two granddaughters, Denise Bryant and her husband Brad of Montrose, IA and Emily Franks and her husband Daniel of Blaine, MN, five great-grandchildren, Kole Byrant, K.J. Skow, Kaden Skow, Abigail Franks and Oliver Franks, two sisters, Alice Geiger of Ft. Smith, AR and Imogene Griffith and her husband Bob of Lake Ozark, MO and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents and a son in law, Red Skow. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Rev. Rodney Underwood officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Keokuk Area Hospital Foundation or the Keokuk Humane Society or to the donor's choice.
