Gladys Irene Glover, 99, of Keokuk, IA, died at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born on October 14, 1905, in Gorin, MO, the daughter of Archie W. and Lena Pearl Adams Cline. Gladys was united in marriage to Clifford Wayne Glover of Granger, MO on October 24, 1925 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1975. Gladys was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Keokuk, IA. She was skilled at crocheting and sewing and also enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She is survived by one son, Donald Glover and his wife Shirley, of Keokuk, IA, four daughters, Marianna Pontius and her husband Eugene of LaPrairie, IL, Dorothy Hutcherson and Darlene Graham both of Keokuk, IA, Wanda Lyon and her husband Bill of San Marcos, TX, one sister, Mary Kauzlarich of Keokuk, IA, twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son, Leon Glover, two grandsons, Michael and Alan Brookhart, two brothers, Wayne Cline and a brother in infancy. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 15 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Goldie Laymon officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, IA. Memorials were established for the Emmanuel United Methodist Church and River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA.
