Geraldine L.Thrush, 84, of Hamilton, IL, formerly of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on June 25, 1923 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Thomas and Ida M. Thompkins Hickey. On December 7, 1944 she was united in marriage to Wilson Earl Thrush. Geraldine was employed at Drydens in Keokuk for 15 years before her retirement. She was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk. Geraldine loved to dance and play cards with her family and friends. She also enjoyed staying at the family cabin on the river. She is survived by one son Ronald Thrush and his wife Patty of Keokuk, IA, eight grandchildren, Todd Thrush, Terri Thrush, Lisa Jeffers and her husband Dan, Dani Thrush, Mandy Humphrey and her husband John, Jennifer Thrush, Corrin Childress and her husband Brandon, and Travis Thrush, 11 great grandchildren, one sister, Theresa Hoskins of Hamilton, IL, a special cousin, Lois "Beeky" Williams of Keokuk and several nieces and nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Rick Thrush, three sisters, Marie Holmes, Dorothy Dunn and Maxine Ross, two brothers, Joe Hickey and John Hickey. Graveside services were held at 11:30 A.M., Friday at the Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk, IA with Father Paul Connolly officiating. Memorials may be made to the All Saints Catholic Church.
