Gerald E. "Ole" Lambert, 74, of Keokuk, IA, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA.
He was born on December 24, 1932 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Orville and Lois Roberts Lambert. On August 17, 1955 Gerald was united in marriage to Delores South at St. Peters Catholic Church in Keokuk, IA. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Yvonne Sue Seabold and her fiancé Tony Brady of Keokuk, IA, two sons, Donald E. Lambert and his fiancé Darci Daniel of Keokuk, IA, and Ronald L. Lambert and his wife Amy of Montrose, IA, one grandson, Andrew Lambert, six granddaughters, Dawn Lambert, Teracea Lambert, Amanda Harris, Heather Lambert, Jessica Lambert and Abigail Lambert two great-grandchildren, Emma and Patrick Lambert-Fields, three step-grandsons, Brandon Daniel, Chris Day and Joshua Daniel, two brothers, Robert Lambert of Keokuk, IA, and Olen Lambert of Newton, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Joe Lambert, a sister, Willadean Burdock, a sister in infancy and a son-in-law, Tim Seabold.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict.
He had been employed at Foote Mineral in Keokuk, IA for twenty five years, retiring in 1986. He had also been employed at Holland Trucking and Pizza Hut in Keokuk, IA.
He was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #148.
He enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers and his car and taking care of his yard.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday at the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial with military riteswas in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the River Hills Crystal Gardens Alzheimer's Unit.
