George Harold "Mick" Ward, 60, of Keokuk died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Montebello HealthCare Center in Hamilton, IL. He was born on April 23, 1953 in Keokuk the son of Mac McCarty and Laura Ward. Mick was a band member of the group Pyramid and also enjoyed listening to music. He loved being outside working on cars or his Harley Davidson. Mick enjoyed playing billiards and being with friends. Most of all, he loved his children and the time he spent with them. He is survived by his mother, Laura ZaVala of Keokuk, two sons, Chris Hauff of Palmyra, MO and Coy Stark of Keokuk, three daughters, Breann, Nicole and Ellie, several grandchildren, three sisters, Cathy Allison of Ft. Worth, TX, Charlotte Buehl of Galesburg, IL and Mary Margaret Beasley of Keokuk, two brothers, Harold Buehl of Davenport, IA and Bob Sackman of Keokuk, a cousin, Liz Bigelow of Hamilton, IL, a nephew, Vern Stein of Ft, Madison, and many other nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Eric White. According to his wishes, there will be no services or visitation at this time.
