Geneva N. Teatsworth

Geneva N. Teatsworth, 80, of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born on July 26, 1931 in Montainview, MO the daughter of Leonard and Esther Kite Honeycutt. Geneva was united in marriage to Garrel Teatsworth on January 4, 1960 in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1967. She had been employed at Rite Price Lumber in Keokuk for seventeen years. In 1987, Geneva moved to Columbia, Louisiana and was employed at Family Dollar Store for three years. She retired in 1994 and returned to Keokuk. She was a member of Gold Star Wives. Geneva enjoyed reading novels, working crossword puzzles and playing cards. She is survived by two sisters, Rosetta Rose and Violet Rose and her husband David all of Hesperia, CA and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother Leonard Marvin Honeycutt and one sister Hazel Akers. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or the donor's choice.
