Gary Lee Beall, 75, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at The Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA. He was born on January 19, 1938 in Kahoka, MO, the son of Edith Emondson Beall. On July 6, 1972, Gary was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Rorabaugh in Kahoka, MO. She survives Other survivors include two sons, Gary A. Beall and his wife Jacquie of Mt. Sterling, IA and Ray Beall of Jacksonville, FL, two daughters, Terri Visser and her husband Dr. Randy Visser of Redmond, OR and Barbara Bryant and her husband Ron of Keokuk, ten grandchildren, Stephanie, Brent, Lacey, Gary, John, David, Kandi, Kelsy, Blake and Emily, three great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Jasmine and Ethan, several nieces and nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, three brothers, Forrest, Wayne, Delmar and one sister, Lucille Reinhart. He had been employed at Keokuk Steel Castings for 20 years, retiring in 1985. Gary was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk. He was also a member of the American Legion and a former member of the Eagles Club and Moose Lodge in Keokuk. He was a regular at the McDonald's Coffee Club, enjoying his coffee and visiting with friends. Gary was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He loved tinkering with things to see how they worked. He enjoyed doing electrical work, plumbing and woodworking. One of his specialties was making lawn ornaments. Gary was a very giving person and would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Missy Brown officiating . Burial was in the Sandusky Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
